Had three in my class. They were brilliant and an older Morris Jessop was the Student Body President. Had to study by other than electrical power. Long bus rides to and fro. Lyman Jessop stayed overnight with me in Circleville one time. It was quite by accident - we took a wrong turn - but what a wonderful find! I was so mesmerized by this canyon. It was a rainy day, so the canyon held true to it's name and the mountains were black. They had quite a bit of snow a couple of days earlier and that was followed by rain. The snow was melting, and we saw the most beautiful water coming down the side of the mountain. There were quite a few rocks on the road that we had to watch for, but I would love to go back. Thank you, Jim, for the info because we have been wondering what the abandoned building was.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5398633296962611892.post-39907588790835493252022-12-28T08:52:48.956-08:002022-12-28T08:52:48.956-08:00Although the property is partially on BLM and Stat...Although the property is partially on BLM and State land, it is not listed in the National Register of Historic Places.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5398633296962611892.post-13397187617099382722018-12-21T12:47:14.858-08:002018-12-21T12:47:14.858-08:00Awesome. I was thinking the whole time, that you were alone, and going to these desolate places. Weren't you afraid of mountain lions, vagrants, Meth heads, etc? It is fenced and posted no trespassing for that reason. My Mother was raised on this property.
